Steve Kimball has been a principal with Chasm Group since 2007. Steve is a Silicon Valley veteran and has spent over 20 years starting, reinventing, and advising fast-growth companies. He has hands-on experience launching innovative business models, introducing new products, implementing successful sales and marketing strategies, and acquiring, integrating, and selling companies.
Steve advises executive management teams on decisions that accelerate market adoption, increase revenue growth, and maximize their company’s valuation and liquidity outcomes. The majority of Steve’s work comes from repeat clients and personal referrals. His client experience spans a wide spectrum of second stage, high growth technology companies in North America and Europe.
Before Chasm Group
Prior to Chasm Group, he served in executive management positions at Aspect, TIBCO, and Interwoven Software as well as a start-up. Prior to his operating career, Steve had a successful consulting career advising startups and Fortune 500 firms on sales, marketing, customer service, and information technology. He began his career with META Group, a strategy and technology advisory firm (now a subsidiary of Gartner).
He earned his bachelors degree in American Studies and Business Administration from Stonehill College in Massachusetts. Steve has also participated in University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Graduate School's Executive Program.
